I first met Jackson during his newborn session.  It's seems just like yesterday, and I know his parents and family feel the same way.  Naturally, I was thrilled when I talked to Tessa & Justin about photographing his first birthday party.

As I entered the Hostess House in Winder, GA I immediately wanted to become a kid again.  Everywhere I turned there were LEGO blocks.  I can imagine all of the things that Jackson will build with these iconic blue, red and yellow squares that have fueled little boy's imaginations for generations.  His Daddy, Justin, loved LEGOs too.

A first birthday is magical.  Lots of friends and family gather together, and of course can't wait to see Jackson's reaction to the notorious cake smash.  Which as you can see below did not disappoint.  This first birthday is a Pinterest lover's dream.  Tessa did an awesome job with all of the details, which make capturing them even more fun.  Happy birthday Jackson!  We're all extremely proud of you and excited to see grow.  Just not too fast, okay?
